1pm Workshop 1 – Fundamentals & Connection Perfect for beginners and a great refresher for intermediate dancers. We will focus on core tango concepts including posture, embrace, walking technique, connection, balance, and musical awareness. This session establishes a strong foundation and prepares dancers for more dynamic movement.

2:15 Workshop 2 – Development & Variations Building on the first hour, this workshop introduces variations, smoother transitions, and practical combinations. Intermediate dancers will explore refinement, musical interpretation, and flow, while beginners will continue strengthening their basics with guided progression.

7:00 Workshop 3 - The Art of Walking: Directions, intentions, and timing as we travel downstream and stay connected to our neighbors.

1pm Workshop 4 – Dynamic Movement & Energy Flow Explore explosive vs. smooth movement, changes of speed, direction, and intention to create powerful, expressive dancing. Designed for intermediate dancers ready to add control, and dynamic contrast to their tango.

2:15 Workshop 5 – Turns & Fluidity Improve your pivots, balance, and circular movement while exploring dynamic turn variations and smooth transitions. Designed for intermediate dancers who want precision, control, and elegance.

LORENA ERMOCIDA  She is received from the Maria Ruanova National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance.  Since 1987 she has ventured into Tango and is a dancer, teacher and choreographer. She participated in theatrical shows such as "Solo Tango", "Gotan" (where she was a dancer and choreography assistant), "Tango x 2", she participated in a special performance for "Tango Argrntino", and in the "Julio Iglesisas" Show as Soloist couple for 9 years touring the world.  Among others  She has participated in Buenos Aires in Tango Shows "La Casa de Osvaldo Piro", "La Veda", "Homero Manzi", "La Esquina Carlos Gardel", "Metro Show" On television she was part of the cast of the emblematic program  "Grandes Valores del Tango",   She participated in films and documentaries such as Evita and "El Tango a Passo Di" for RAI. She has danced in the most important theaters in the world such as "Metropolitan Opera Hall" in New York, "The Royal Alber Hall" in London, The Paris Opera, The Hollywood Bowl, The Sydey Opera, "El Luna Park" in Buenos Aires Aires, among many others. She is one of the leading dancers who masters Stage Tango and Salon Tango, which is why she is summoned as a jury in the semifinals and finals of the Metropolitan Tango Championship and the World Tango Championship, as well as in the world sub-venues.  Among her companions, Osvaldo Zotto stands out with whom they formed a couple of excellence that marked a personal style and was a reference for many dancers (for 11 and a half years).  For a time she was the companion of the prestigious Juan Carlos Copes. She worked for 2 years with Fabian Peralta. Since 2012 he has been the dance partner with Pancho Martínez Pey .  She has participated since 1994 as a teacher and dancer in the most important festivals in the world, such as:  Lady's Tango Week, since the first festival; Tango Salón Extremo since 2013; APPOINTMENT Tango Fantasy for 11 years (USA) Sydney Tango Hall Festival  Sunny Tango Festival in Crete  Tango Sun Festival Jurmala  Torino Tango Festival International Tango Torino Festival  Istanbul Express Pablito's Festival (Sydney)  Seoul Metropolitan Tango Championship and Festival  Florianopolis Tango Festival since the first festival, and Florianópolis Tango Biennial  Internationales Hamburger Winter Tango Festival. carried out in the cities of Sydney, Porto, Madrid, Valencia, Sitges, Jurmala, Rome, Napoli, Torin, Bologna, Miami, San Francisco, Manila, Amsterdam, Ankara, Istanbul, Moscow, Florianopolis, among many others.  She gives seminars in different cities around the world, among which we can mention Buenos Aires, Beijing, Shenzen, Shanghai, Taiwan, Tainan, Kaohsoung, Moscow, Freiburg. Since 2020, Lorena began giving virtual classes: “Unidos Tango Festival” (solidarity festival for the world). For USA: Esquina Tango Special Class Live; She participated as a special guest teacher at Astoria Tango club and School. Tango Lalalan (China Korea Japan). Master class for them in Spain, as well as private classes . She was the winner of the Leonida Massine award in Italy for her artistic career; In Buenos Aires she received the "Pa que bailen los muchachos " award (declared of cultural interest by the Secretary of Culture of the National Presidency and of Legislative Interest by the Chamber of Deputies) The National Tango Academy has designated her as a member of the Intermediate Generation Chart in recognition of her distinguished artistic performance and for her outstanding work as a Tango Teacher dancer and Coreographer . The “ Consejo Argentino de la Danza “ in the Argentine Legislatue , (in the framework of the 38th edition of the María Ruanova National Dance Award) , has given her a recognition: “because her contribution has been fundamental to the training of talented dancers and choreographers . Her commitment to excellence and her ability to guide her students have been invaluable to the development of tango in Argentina and the world .
